[dout-fi-duh-nt]
adj. to have the capacity to hold both an incredibly positive and negative perspective about something depending on how long it’s been since you last received verbal or textual reinforcement.
Use: Stan felt doubtfident about his relationship with Denise: after dinner last night and hearing her say “you’re the best boyfriend ever!” he knew she was crazy about him; but when she hadn’t texted him by noon the next day he suspected she felt lukewarm and he definitely shouldn’t have ordered garlic pesto at dinner; and then he felt like they should just break up when she hadn’t responded to his text after 25 minutes; and then he was on top of the world again when she responded after 26 minutes with a “ what’s up? “.

This completely describes one of my relationships.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have a challenge for you- come up with a word describing the knowledge that you are about to feel a certain way that you don't actually feel yet. For example, when Bama Boy was up, the day before he left, I was having a great time, but knew that in less than 24 hours, I was going to be depressed.
