Withwrawal

[with-raw-wool]

n. an extended period of time when you do not have access to the Internet, which results in a inflated sense of anxiety or feeling of importance because you assume your inbox has suddenly become overrun with urgent emails and nobody would think to call you.

Use: After moving into his new apartment and learning that the Internet will not be hooked up for a week, Jed has been thrown into withwrawal even though deep down he knows the only e-mails he’ll be missing are from facebook.
